Into the Borderlands
Olin “Smiley” Greenbriar, a proud Stout halfling, has an “air” about him. Actually he smells rather badly. Black, matted hair pokes out from under his helm nearly covering his bright green eyes. His chain armor is dirty with bits of moss growing on it. His wooden shield is well worn and carries a well worn sigil of a Unicorn head … the sign of Mielikki, goddess of the forest. His mother was a Cleric and his father a ranger. His mother died when Olin was a child leaving him to fend mostly for himself.
On the bright side, his hands and feet are well taken care of.
Raised by his ranger father, he was more at home in the forest than in a town and seldom smiled, earning him the nickname “Smiley” from the locals when he did come to town. The bear hide cloak he wears over his shoulders hides the pack and mace he carries, the same berzerk bear that killed his father. Now, with the Goddess’s help, he protects the glades and forests and tries his best. On those occasions that he does make it into town to trade herbs and pelts to the townfolk, he drops in to share a few pints with his friend Cormin. Cormin is one of the few that can actually get a laugh out of him.
